Hi! I'm Zack, The Gardener
Originally from the "Quiet Corner" of Northeast Connecticut, I was raised with daily connection to the natural environment. As a kid, I would follow streams and stone walls through the forest for over a mile to my best friend's house, where we'd go fly fishing or run around the family gardens.

I've been a teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator for over twenty years, and started Blue Arrow Gardens as a way to bring the joys of natural landscaping and vegetable gardens to otherwise more developed communities. I'm a University of Connecticut certified Master Gardner, and have worked in numerous public and residential gardens throughout the state. I studied film and anthropology at Wesleyan University and hold a Master's in teaching from Hunter College. My wife, daughter, and I live in the Greater Hartford area, where we enjoy the berries, flowers, potatoes, and peas we grow in our own yard.
